On 31 December 2025, Bourg-en-Bresse experienced a New Year’s Eve like no other. For its very first edition, Crazy New Year Festival transformed theEkinox Parc Expo into a supercharged jungle for one night, carrying thousands of festival-goers into 2026 to the sound of the most powerful kicks. Here’s a look back (in words and pictures) at a colourful XXL night.
An extraordinary New Year’s Eve
The idea was simple: to offer a real alternative to the classic New Year’s Eve and the club night. The challenge was just as clear: to bring together the best of the hard music scene in one place and make the arrival of the New Year a moment of total synergy. From 7pm to 5:30am, more than ten hours of music, nearly 2,500 festival-goers turned up to move and shake the floor of the Ekinox – Parc Expo to the rhythm of the kicks and bass.
A production that matched the ambition
For this first edition, the organisers had left nothing to chance. Across nearly 4,000 m², the technical set-up made a lasting impression:
- A 60 kW VOIDsound system, renowned for its power and precision
- A giant stage lit up by a light show, FX and lasers
- An XXL midnight show to celebrate the arrival of 2026
- A jungle-themed stage design, built for immersion
Around the dance floor were plenty of bars, savoury and sweet food trucks, tattoo, make-up and glitter stands, secure lockers and a VIP area set up on the stage.
A 100% Hard Music & Techno line-up
On the line-up side, the festival had brought together an international bill mixing Hardstyle, Hard Techno, Uptempo, Rawstyle and Frenchcore : headliners such as Rebelion and Hard Driver, but also Caravel, Yoshiko, Mind Compressor, Moonkyz, Lekkerfaces, D-Frek, Lalou, Mighty Spiritz, Krykor and many more. What’s next?
Aftermovie, photo albums, recorded sets : the memories of this first night kept going round for weeks, but above all, this inaugural edition established one certainty: the story is only just beginning. The second edition is already scheduled for 31 December 2026 and it promises to be bigger and more spectacular than ever!
